BRAINERD, MN, August 4, 2010 – Senate District 12 endorsed Republican candidate Paul Gazelka expressed disappointment today over a false newspaper advertisement Paul Koering ran in the Morrison County Record Saturday. According to the Taxpayers League of Minnesota Facebook page, “Senator Koering placed a fake advertisement from The Taxpayers League, he is not endorsed by The Taxpayers League and he has not signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge! This was a generic letter sent out to every Republican legislator in 2009!”

 “I was very disappointed to learn that Paul Koering would run a false advertisement meant to deceive the people of Senate District 12.  As the Taxpayers League of Minnesota has noted, Paul Koering’s advertisement is ‘fake,’ he has not been endorsed by the League and he has not signed the group’s pledge.  This episode is the just the latest example of Paul Koering being out of touch with his constituents.  I am asking the voters of Senate District 12 to vote for me in Tuesday’s primary.  It’s time for a change.”
